I’m back in songwriting mode – working on stuff that will hopefully turn into an album of songs by Funeral Bonsai Wedding, my band with drummer Frank Rosaly, bassist Jason Roebke, vibraphonist Jason Adasiewicz – with guest appearances by Alton Smith on piano and organ, harmony singing by Diane Christiansen and Colby Maddox on mandolin. Well, that’s the goal, anyway. I’m not doing much performing for the next couple of months in order to clear the head and really focus on writing.
